About the Photo exhibition by the Russian Ambassador to ASEAN Alexander Ivanov “Hidden Russia” in the ASEAN Secretariat

Opening ceremony of the Photo exhibition “Hidden Russia” by the Russian Ambassador to ASEAN Alexander Ivanov was held at ASEAN Secretariat on October 21, 2019.

The event was attended by the ASEAN Permanent Representatives, Dialogue Partners and foreign Ambassadors to Indonesia, representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat, and journalists.

In total, the exhibition presents 75 photos of the Russian cities little-known in Southeast Asia - Rybinsk, Myshkin, Yaroslavl, Ples and others. All photos were personally taken by Alexander Ivanov during his trip along the Volga in 2019. In his welcoming remarks Ambassador Ivanov emphasized that the most popular Russian cities among foreign visitors are Moscow and St. Petersburg, however, in recent years, tourists have shown increasing interest in ancient Russian cities that have retained their uniqueness and national color.

The exhibition is organized by the Russian Mission to ASEAN in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan for Russia-ASEAN Cooperation for 2016-2020. Photos can be viewed in the lobby of the ASEAN Secretariat until December 13, 2019.
